Halloween
Today is Halloween and we had dress up day at my job. I really didn’t go as anything because initially it was said that we would just do a crazy hat or crazy sock day. Therefore, I did the crazy socks.
Because my husband and I are the last to leave the house, my girls didn’t see me until after I came home from work. When they saw me, they couldn’t believe I was dressed the way I was. I explained to them why I was dressed like that and I wouldn’t have dressed that way if it was just another Friday. Therefore, I was dressed for Halloween!
My girls are 16 yrs old and 12 yrs old. My oldest had to work at Six Flags for Frieght Night, plus she has more or less grown out of celebrating halloween like the kids do. My younger daugter told me she was going trick or treat with one of her girlfriends and her family and the were going to Frieght Night at Six Flags afterwards. I thought she was too old to trick or treat too, but hey, when I was a kid, I remember a cousin that was in high school taking my brother and I to trick or treat and although he was suppose to be taking us, he had his bag for candy as well. So I didn’t say anything to her.
As it ended up, she didn’t go trick or treat and she even mentioned that she was too old to trick or treat for halloween anymore…..they went to Freight Night only instead.
Like I always tell myself, they aren’t babies anymore!
