Being responsible
I want both of my daughters to become responsible people and that is why I have started teaching them how to be responsible at an early age.
They both have housework, my oldest daughter has a job, we take turns walking our dog and because my oldest now has a job, she has some financial responsibilities as well.
My youngest daughter isn’t really on board to walk our dog, but I have to work with her to do her share…..we all wanted him, therefore we all have to share the responsibility of having him.
Now that my oldest has started driving, I have her pay a portion of her auto insurance. She doesn’t pay all of the extra money that has been added to our insurance in adding her to drive, but I just want her to realize she can’t just blow her money because she does have responsibilities. She’s doing quite well with taking on her obligations!
