Cleaning House
Side note: My husband said “YES” to the dog!!!! We pick him up today!
Cleaning house: We had a house keeper who came to our house to clean every other week. One day I told my kids to clean their rooms and they said, “can we let Miss Margret do it?”. Right then and there I knew I had to make some changes!
I cancelled Ms. Margret’s contract and assigned chores to both of them! They’ve been in practice for sometime now and my oldest has been a lot better from when she first started. My youngest can do the work, but she’s lazy.
Their dad and I are on them continuously about keeping upstairs clean and overall, they’re doing pretty good. My oldest works a part time job at Six Flags and she really doesn’t have the time to do her part of the chores. She offerred my youngest $20/week for her to do both of their chores and she gladly accepted the deal. $20/week is a lot of money to a 12 year old!
It really works out for all of us because my oldest doesn’t have to do anything except keep her room clean, my youngest daughter gets weekend money in her pocket and I can keep my money in my wallet!
